Are you a Packaging Engineer looking to progress in your career? A leading multinational manufacturing company in Waterford is looking for a Senior Packaging Technologist to join their team. You will be responsible for all packaging technology NPI initiatives. The Role. As a Senior Packaging Technologist you will: Manage the packaging team. Ensure all packaging elements of New Product Introductions meet quality and regulatory compliance standards. Manage and/or design tests to qualify packaging platforms. Actively lead and contribute to key projects. Provide technical expertise in packaging components, material, conversion process, printing technique and emerging technology to improve efficiencies, drive down cost and improve value of established products post-launch. Support packaging elements of New Product Introductions to meet product launch dates. Support / Lead Technical Risk Assessments for Packaging. The Person. Third Level qualification in an Engineering / Science / Packaging Material Science Discipline or an equivalent. 5+ years' experience in technical discipline covering a range of packaging formats applicable to FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices or Healthcare industry including: Working knowledge of packaging equipment / packaging components. Technical packaging transfers. Packaging NPI introduction. 3+ years' experience in a managerial role. Demonstrated strong previous experience in project management. Interested?
