Job title: Master Data Specialist. Reports to: Themis Systems & Performance Manager. Department: Systems & Performance. Location: Wexford. Purpose & Scope. Master data is an integral part of the Themis System and the Master Data Specialist will work with all aspects of this system (people and processes) to ensure the needs of the business as delivered. Master data management comprises a set of processes and tools that consistently define and manage the non-transactional data elements of an organization – in the area of Materials, Vendors, Customers and Manufacturing Master Data (BOMs, routings etc.). The purpose of this role is to provide processes for collecting, aggregating, matching, consolidating, quality-assuring and distributing such data throughout the organization to ensure consistency and control in the ongoing maintenance and application use of this information. A Master Data Specialist will play a crucial role is performing assigned Master Data maintenance activities as per submitted master data requests in a timely and accurate manner. Each activity will be performed in accordance with defined operating procedures. Core Responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: • Undertake a leadership role in related projects, which involves managing relevant activities, coordinating relevant departments and monitoring progress to ensure project success. • Perform Master Data transaction processing responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with defined operating procedures. • Be self-motivated and proactive to ensure that Themis issues (which include but not limited to Master Data) cause minimum impact to business. • Be a Key resource for the business for Themis support. • Ensure the quality of master data in key systems, as well as development and documentation of processes to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity. • In collaboration with subject matter experts and Key Users, define and implement data strategy, policies, controls, and programs to ensure the data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable. • Clarify processes to end users and business stakeholders as required. • Share process and technical knowledge openly. • Provide detailed transactional information to internal and external auditors as required. • Progress and analyse MD related failures to understand why it happened and ensure resolution of same. • Escalate technical issues to DanIS support where issues are causing MD processes to fail. • Produce weekly and monthly KPI's for your direct manager. **please note this list is not exhaustive and the incumbent will be required to have the flexibility, tenacity and professionalism to address any other issues / ad hoc requests as they arise. Qualifications. • Third Level Qualification – Essential - Relevant degree in life, physical, mathematical, applied or medical sciences required. Information Systems or Business Studies. • Leaving Certificate – Essential - Leaving Certificate minimum requirement. • Accreditations – TBC - Willing to undertake as directed by the N+1. Experience. • FMCG – Essential - Minimum 2-3 years’ previous experience in an FMCG environment with significant exposure to Project Management, Information Systems & processes preferably gained in an international, highly matrixed environment. • Systems – Essential - Extensive experience / working knowledge of SAP / MS Tools and associated reporting tools.
