What you need to know You will work as a Team Coach within Motor Claims Team for our client, an Insurance PLC company in Wexford. Our client is one of Ireland`s leading general insurance companies. This is a permanent job. Your new job Key duties & competencies: Oversee the operational workload of team of and drive superior claims results for varying levels of complexity. Achieve best practices by reviewing claims files, identifying trends and recommending improvements. Enforces adherence to compliance with Consumer Protection Code and Central Bank Regulations. Ensure that appropriate documentation, implementation and communication of established policy, procedures and operating standards is completed for area of responsibility to ensure compliance, quality and consistency. Accountable for the delivery of key claims metrics and complaint resolution. Drive the performance management process by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development. Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, Investment Management and regular interpersonal communications. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Regularly communicate organizational updates to team to ensure awareness and alignment with strategy and business priorities and foster employee engagement. Provide advisory services to colleagues on a daily basis, by being focal point of contact, to ensure adherence to the company´s policies and processes. Build and measure success against customer specific claims handling protocol and/or customer proposition charter to fulfil the needs and expectations of our customers. Contribute to the development of processes and lead the implementation of systems and process improvements which drive consistency and continuous improvement across own area of claims. Investigate and review disputes and escalated issues to ensure a speedy resolution in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Share knowledge to develop team’s capabilities. Experience & Education: Required (applications without these may not be processed. Minimum of 2 honours in Higher Level subjects in the Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) or Third Level Qualification (minimum level 6 standard) or relevant work experience. A minimum of CIP qualification is required and full ACII would be a distinct advantage. Experience within the insurance industry. Strong People Management 2+ years proven management experience. Strong broker experience from commerical or personal lines. Motor specific background, ideally 3-4 years. Key competencies: Knowledge of claims practices and the legal environment. Have an ability to identify and build talent within teams. Proven ability to be innovative with the customer in mind. High level relationship building skills both internally and externally. Ability to develop staff through coaching and training. Excellent communication and influencing skills – oral and written. Strong organisational skills. Enthusiasm, ambition and innovation. Demonstrate excellent people management skills. Ability to create and maintain a team culture that enhances performance. Self-motivated, results orientated and open to change. Ability to plan and organise own work and the work of the team. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrate team work in approach to work. Demonstrate solution focused approach to work and initiative to problem solve.
