Hartley People Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Front End Developer for our client, a well-established company based in Waterford. This is a full time and permanent position and is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a well-established company with good developmental and promotional opportunities. The Role & The Person: The ideal candidate is someone who is technically proficient and creative in their thinking and who likes contributing to an evolving team in a consistently growing company. You must have an expert knowledge of javascript, HTML/CSS specifically with cross-browser compatibility in mind. Sass should be second nature to you when implementing responsive designs. You will need a keen eye. Our designers are a rigorous bunch. If you have advanced knowledge of web and mobile UX/UI and are any way into gaming or animation, you will fit in nicely. You need to have a strong working relationship with php and a solid foothold on the quirks of javascript as a language. Node.js, Grunt or Gulp build tools are a must, as well as the intricacies of GIT. It helps if you feel the need to use the command line a lot. Given the range of work you’ll be doing you’ll never get bored. We need someone who loves keeping up-to-date on the newest advancements in the field and can figure out when to start applying those advancements to client work. We engage and talk with our clients constantly, so you must also be a good communicator. We spend a lot of time working our internal processes towards the holy grail of best practice, so you will be asked to help identify optimum technical solutions internally.
