The Role Ensure a positive pro employee working environment exists on the shift. Ensure the target production figures are met in an efficient and effective manner. Support Plant Health and Safety programs and ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements and reports regarding Packaging and shipping areas. Understand every aspect of the packaging and shipping process including documentation, product use, and product configuration and packaging technology. Develop the Team Leads and Line Leads. Supervise all Packaging and shipping related activities. Provide on line training and continually update training records. Attend daily production and planning meetings as required. Provide a daily report to the Packaging & Shipping Operations Manager. Address quality issues, non conforming material, etc., using the NCMT, RCA, RTA and SCAR procedures. Monitor operator performance / attendance. Complete operator performance reviews as required. Ensure that all equipment is maintained (operationally) and operated to meet demands while minimising downtime. Maintain a clean and neat working environment, ensuring high standards of housekeeping, and control of chemicals. Responsible for the accuracy of Device Master Record documentation carried out on the shift, e.g. work orders, MFR, MPK. Participate in and support continuous improvement teams to identify and improve problems, performance and yields and reduce manning levels etc. Enforce company Environmental Management policies. The Person 3-5 years relevant managerial experience in a healthcare manufacturing environment and / or a 3rd level degree of a production/technical nature. Excellent communication skills; both verbally and written. Sound knowledge of standard information technology hardware/software. 3rd level qualification in a relevant industrial application. Experience/knowledge of Medical Device/ Pharmaceutical/GMP in a Process/Packaging environment. Knowledge of ISO9000 or equivalent documented quality standards. Experience of Project Management/Validation Programmes and implementing technical change. Experience of Information Management Systems for Manufacturing operations e.g. JDE/SAP.
