Plannign Manager required for busy Food Manufacturing COmpany. Reporting to the Planning & Logistics Manager, the purpose of the role is to assume day-to- day operational responsibility for production planning, logistics and warehousing operations at the site. Key Responsibilities: Manage a team of 12 persons (6 Demand planner,6 Material Planner. Maintain a best in class site function (including the effectiveness of the production planning, production scheduling, material call off and dispatching process. Optimise opportunities within inventory, warehousing and logistics management and support the peer groups (local and corporate) in the execution of the solutions. Translate the Business Unit needs into production schedule for the plant (S&OP Process), in an integrated network of 6 factories. Monitor demand forecast of the site and propose most effective production plan. Evaluate production capacity on a daily / weekly basis. Advise and adjust when / if necessary. Review and report on regular basis the capacity utilization of the plant. Assist and manage the delivery of key projects that have an impact on the site objectives. Interact with demand function in terms of optimal supply including the reserve stocks. Effectively utilise business operating systems including SAP. Minimum requirements: Relevant Supply Chain/Planning experience within a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment. Evidence of progressively responsible experience in manufacturing, logistics or supply chain roles within a fast paced, high tech and high volume environment. Understanding and ability to apply in live situations the principles and tools of lean manufacturing. ERP/Planning Systems – WMS – Infor AP/AS Experience. SAP experience advantageous. Proficient in the use of MS Office tools Proficient numerical ability to record interpret and analyse key process data. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to meet strict deadlines. Excellent communication, written, numerical and verbal skills. Type: Permanent. Salary: €Neg.
